Sir Bani Yas Island Project Overview
Sir Bani Yas Island is part of the Al Gharbia region of the United Arab Emirates and is a protected wildlife sanctuary just off the coast of Abu Dhabi, founded by His Highness Sheikh Zayd bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The property has been designed as an ultra all-inclusive 5-star hotel resort. All guest accommodation, services, and F&B outlets have been completed to a high standard generally commensurate with a 5-star hotel.
Project Objectives and Scope of Work
- Removal of existing roof insulation and waterproofing of Back of House (BOH) / Staff offices and replacement with new insulation and waterproofing.
- Removal of existing waterproofing at Gym and reapplication of new waterproof system.
- Waterproof repair work at Main Building roof level due to leakage from rainfall.
- Proper penetration of MEP services.
- Supply and replacement of CAT ladders in aluminum.
- Removal of existing paint and application of new weatherproof paint at Gym and Spa area.
- Removal and replacement of the rusted tensile structure anchors/membrane plate with SS 316L and A4 bolts.
- Dismantling of barista shades and construction of different barasti shades.
- Construction of a new canopy by dismantling damaged canopy structures.
- Sandstone paving work.
- Replacement of the VRF system for the Water Sports Center & Conference Hall.
- Replacement of the AHU, FAHU, Extract fan, and Make-up fan with all GI ducting, power connections, and valve packages along with all related accessories for the Gym and Kids Club building.
- Replacement of the GI duct with aluminum cladding for the BOH at the roof floor.
- Replacement of the power connections for the FCUs in the plant room on the BOH roof floor.
- Replacement of the steel foundation of the MEP equipment on the BOH roof floor.
- Replacement of DC clips for the lightning protection system.
- Replacement of firefighting pipes on the roof of the Gym area.
- Replacement of the cable tray on the roof of the Gym area.
- Painting of the LPG pipes on the roof of the main building.
- Rerouting of the extract and fresh air ducts of the main building.
- Rearrangement of the power cables and wires.
- Replacement of rusted and non-working sprinkler heads in the main building with new ones.
- Replacement of damaged cladding for chilled water pipes.
- Replacement of three electrical capacitor banks.
- Replacement of outdoor AC unit steel supports.
