Emirates Real Estate Corp. “EREC” owns and operates the Ministry of Education “MOE” buildings and facilities at Al Qusais area in Dubai. The building occupants experienced some difficulties and felt uncomfortable with the HVAC system, and several complaints were raised to EREC regarding insufficient cooling. The Ministry of Education building is a G+5 building, served by an HVAC system through an adjacent service block housing the main equipment (chillers, pumps, etc.). This system also supplies air conditioning to three adjacent buildings: the Ministry of Education Building, Activities Building, and Ministry of Justice building.
Scope of Services
The scope of service for this project includes:
- Site survey to create as-built drawings for the existing HVAC system equipment and installations.
- Technical detailed analysis of the existing HVAC system.
- Heat load calculation to verify system capacity.
- Suggest technical solutions for the effective operation of the existing system.
- Provide technical suggestions to enhance system efficiency and operation.
- Recommend technical solutions with minimum rearrangement on the existing system or any other requirements for enhanced system performance.
Building Management System (BMS) Scope:
- Study with recommendations for the existing BMS system for the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs, and Ministry of Public Works (three adjacent buildings managed by one BMS system) in order to upgrade to the newest software available.
