The Qasr Al Sarab Hotel is located approximately 200km to the south of Abu Dhabi City in the Western Region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. As the success of Qasr Al Sarab Hotel continues, it plans to enhance the experience of the visitors who are arriving, in order to provide an additional attraction to the venue as per approved design drawings.
Scope of Services:
The Sustainability Centre comprises the following:
A. Sustainability Centre
- Pathways, Parking with Barasti Shade.
- Open Animal Enclosures (Gazelle, Oryx, Camel, Ostrich) with fencing & Barasti shades. Misting system to Ostrich enclosure.
- Entrance Block comprising of Entrance Lobby, waiting lounge, commercial outlet, F&B refreshment area, Spill out zone, Display corridor, BOH office with meeting room, Toilets, etc.
- Falconry building with glass façade for observation and Barasti screen cladding to the exterior (accommodating Hotel & Guest Falcons).
- Falaj layout acting as a water feature.
- Raised viewing deck/Gazebo with Sandstorm screens.
- Oasis for wild animal drinking.
- Landscape lighting throughout.
B. Hydroponics System
- The greenhouse consists of Pipe & pillow system.
- Complete structure with systems comprising of water tanks, cooling pads, split A/C, inbuilt pumps, control panel, etc.
C. Nursery
- New shade structure 40m x 30m.
- Irrigation system to the area, with different zones for areas in sun and those to be in shade.
- Misting system (for 25% of the total area).
D. Stables
- Provision of Barasti shade elements over open space in the stable courtyards.
- Misting system to fog stable areas to reduce ambient temperature.
- Upgradation of the existing internal well feature.
- Provision of trees to the entrance areas.
- Provision of landscape lighting, irrigation, and signage.
E. Saluki Dog Kennels
- New structure with separate kennels and bathrooms for Hotel & Guest dogs.
- Separate garden space for each kennel with trees and Barasti shades.
- Galvanized fencing with Barasti screen cover on both sides and lockable gates.
